Composer and drummer Sun-Mi Hong stretches the boundaries of what an ensemble can be, bringing musicans and dancers together. This combination of contemporary improvised music and modern dance addresses all the senses. Four dancers, each with their own style and signature, represent the Four Colours. With contemporary dance improvisation, breaking, hip hop and house dance. Hong (North Sea Round Town, Artist in Focus 2021) and keyboardist Philipp Rüttgers form the musical foundation of percussion and keys, supplemented by strings, horns, synths and bass. The compositions are inspired by the individuality and energy of the dancers. “Hypnotic and extraordinary”, wrote Theaterkrant. We close this evening with the Steppin’ Into Tomorrow DJs – Kay Tee & Lucas Benjamin!
