Now that the doors of the art world are slowly opening, WhyNot & Julidans invite you to step into the garden for the third edition of OFF VENUE. On Friday evening July 3th & and Saturday evening July 4th, we will take you on a tour past the most interesting local dance and performance makers at special green locations in Amsterdam West. In a "meter and a half choreography" we safely come together in these hidden pieces of urban nature. Relax your mind, awaken your senses, and watch the natural rhythm of life, growth and transience.
With the glass walls and plants of Kas Keerweer as a new frame, Choreographer/performer Cherish Menzo deconstructs the "video vixens" featured in MTV music video's from the late '90s. Physical theater maker Igor Vrebac investigates how we relate ourselves to the perpetual courtship of Mother Nature in a flourishing garden. Multidisciplinary artist Annika Kappner takes you on an audio walk made especially for the lush Slatuinen, and The Moving Forest takes you on a dance high and let's your body melt together with the elements.
